The Rabbit Rescue Crisis
We will still be able to help rescue bunnies that are 'at risk', provided the Rescues we work with and who help us, have space, most are full with waiting lists and they are getting more and more calls every day for help than ever before. Many are finding it hard to re-home, some vets are behind with vaccinations and neutering. This surge of pets were likely purchased during lockdown from pet shops and breeders. Now no longer wanted because owners have gone back to work or can't afford to care for them, kids fed up with them, all kinds of excuses, many are sadly dumped (pet rabbits cannot survive in the wild) many are mistreated, This means, heartbreakingly, we currently have to be sensible and incredibly strict about which animals we can offer to help.
